2015 A research paper co-authored by Dr. Lai Tsz Ming, Prof. To Wai Ming from the School of Business, together with their Hong Kong research team, has won the 2015 HKIE Best Transactions Paper Prize. The award winning paper, entitled “Electricity consumption in Hong Kong: trend analysis and greenhouse gases emissions”, investigated the city’s electricity consumption in the long term and its associated greenhouse gases emissions and proposed environmental solutions. The research is cited by other papers in the area of environmental management. The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) has accredited more than 160 engineering courses in universities in Hong Kong & Macao, including the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. |
