The Centre has a very good, long-time cooperation relationship with government departments to help improve the technical and management competence of civil servants, and to assist in cultivating leadership capability of civil servants.
The Centre is committed to meeting the talent needs of Macao to strengthen the development of core industries, focusing on the development of modern finance, health and nursing care, technological development and transformation, cross-sector integration of tourism, growth of cultural and sports industries, professional development of the convention and exhibition industry, transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as diversification and sustainable development of industries. The Centre endeavors to train inter-disciplinary talents needed for Macao to accelerate the development during the critical period of moderate economic diversification. The Centre for Continuing Education actively responds to the needs of society, industries and enterprises by offering precise, practice-oriented training courses or workshops.
In line with the overall strategy of national talent development, aiming at the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the sustainable development of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, as well as the strategic role of Macao as “One Centre, One Platform and One Base”, the Centre for Continuing Education actively provides training programmes in Macao, for government bureaus, chambers of commerce and enterprises etc. Programmes may include seminars, professional training courses, specialized studies, visits and exchanges, etc., to promote in-depth understanding of the "National situation, Greater Bay situation and SAR situation" for personnel from various sectors.
