Centre for Continuing Education of MPU Opens Enrolment for 2026 Q4 Courses

The Centre for Continuing Education (CEC) of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) launches a series of professional training courses in the fourth quarter of 2026, covering areas of public administration, finance and business management, social work and nursing practices, language and communication, technology and engineering applications, youth development, leisure tourism and events, art and design, as well as physical fitness. The course "Neurodiversity-Based Approach: Systematic Parenting for Children with Special Needs" is being offered for the first time. Application is now open for the courses and all interested parties are welcome to apply.

The course "Neurodiversity-Based Approach: Systematic Parenting for Children with Special Needs" aims to help participants understand the core characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as the approaches to supporting these conditions. Centred on a "strengths-based perspective" and "tailored educational strategies", the course equips participants with immediately applicable emotional support, environmental adjustments and social strategies. It also guides careers in developing self-care and stress management skills, while enhancing their analytical and practical intervention capabilities through case studies.

In addition, the Centre will continue to offer a series of practical courses on business applications and corporate management to enhance the professional management capabilities and service skills of practitioners across various sectors in Macao. These include "Communication and Reception Skills for Frontline Staff", which focuses on high-quality service and communication standards; "Personnel Management and Legal Practice in Labour Relations", which combines human resources practices with the application of labour legislation; "Complaint Handling Skills", which focuses on improving conflict mediation and managing challenging situations; "Crisis Management", covering risk assessment and crisis response; and "Human Resources Management and Planning", which delves into human resources demand forecasting and recruitment and retention planning.

Most of the courses are part of the Continuing Education and Development Programme of the Education and Youth Development Bureau. Interested parties can register online or in person at CEC. Students who meet the course attendance requirements and pass the assessment, will be awarded a certificate issued by CEC.
