MPI Offers 4,000 Plus Jobs at its Online Career Fair

In order to provide talent-matching services to its students and the recruiting companies and organisations, Macao Polytechnic Institute organised the first online career fair so that its students and prospective graduates can remotely apply for jobs under this anti-epidemic period. More than 350 corporations and governmental agencies from Macao, Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area participated in the virtual career fair, providing more than 4,000 job openings.

The “MPI Online Career Fair” featured numerous job vacancies, career seminars, interview workshops, and employment information platform. Representatives of leading companies and government department were invited to give virtual seminars, where they provided the latest corporate information and offered practical advice on how to improve the job-seekers’ interview skills and cover-letter writing techniques. This year, the Institute also cooperated with Sanjiang Human Resources Service Center, a subsidiary of Zhuhai Huafa Group, for the first time in jointly hosting an online session of the “Career and Internship Fair for University Students in Greater Bay Area”, presenting cross-border employment opportunities to the Institute’s students and thereby deepening the Guangdong-Macao cooperation as well as promoting the talent exchanges in the Greater Bay Area.

According to the event organiser Student Affairs Office, the career fair and the online session together attracted more than 350 companies and organisations from Macao, Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, making more than 4,000 job vacancies digitally available so that the Institute’s students can obtain copious amounts of career information and guidance without requiring them to leave home. The organiser encouraged the students to make use of the online career fair not only to boost their employability and kick-start their career paths with a pioneering and proactive attitude, but also to embrace cross-border opportunities and contribute to the construction of Macao and the Greater Bay Area.
