Congratulatory Film on the 21st Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region by the Students and Alumni of Macao Polytechnic Institute

To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Student Affairs Office of the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) produced a congratulatory film on the theme of “Accompanying You for 21 Years”, inviting students born in 1999 and alumni who witnessed Macao's return to the Motherland to participate in filming. MPI students and alumni thanked the Motherland, the Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR) and MPI for having accompanied them over the past 21 years, and expressed their heartfelt wishes for Macao's prosperity and stability.

Ho Kin Hang, majoring in Computing, was born in 1999, and grew up in the Macao SAR. Studying in the MPI degree programme made him well prepared for entering the era of Big Data and being able to contribute to the development of the "smart city" of Macao. Fong Hou In, majoring in Nursing, thanked MPI for opening the door to enter the health care industry, enabling him to be a professional nurse, which was not only his dream, but also an honour. He would like to devote himself to serving Macao society and working to improve the standard of the local health care service. Alumna Kong Ian I Graça, who graduated from the Chinese-Portuguese Translation and Interpretation Programme at MPI, currently works as a translator. She was very grateful to her alma mater for making her an expert who could contribute to the society by her profession. To strengthen the cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, she would contribute her best effort to support Macao's development as a platform for strengthening the links between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, so as to enhance the economy by promoting the business and cultural cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

MPI always pays attention to the students’ positive awareness of the national situation. On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China and the 21st Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, MPI organised a series of celebratory activities, including the “Love Home, Love Country” Photography Contest, and the “Online Race” to celebrate PRC's 71st anniversary, to enhance the recognition, sense of belonging and patriotism toward the nation and Macao, encouraging students to contribute to the social development of Macao, the Greater Bay Area and the nation.
