The 27^th Inauguration Ceremony of Macao Polytechnic Institute Student Union and Subsidiaries was held on 24 September, 2021 in the MPI Auditorium. The swearing in of more than 300 members of the Student Union and 15 subsidiaries was witnessed by those in attendance.

At the ceremony, MPI president Professor Im Sio Kei encouraged the Student Union based on the experiences and achievements of the past 26 years to continue carrying forward the tradition of “Loving the Country and Macao”, to strengthen their sense of national and ethnic identity, to support social development, organise more activities beneficial to student’s all-round development, fully demonstrate the top qualities of the "MPI People'' in particular determination, harmony, and perseverance, and serve the community to spread positive energy. Prof Im Sio Kei indicated that this year marks the 40^th anniversary of the founding of the Macao Polytechnic Institute, the first year of the national 14^th Five-Year Plan, and the release of the plan of "Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone in Hengqin ", MPI will continue to follow the country and the major strategies and development of Macau, establish a comprehensive talent-training system and boost academic research to make contributions to the country and Macao.

The President of the MPI Student Union, Chin Pui Ian gave thanks to the past members of the Student Union for their contributions, inheritance and leadership, as well as to the support from MPI and the community for their continued trust and support to the Student Union. The Student Union is composed of the Board of Executive Committee, different subsidiaries and clubs, with each of them performing its duties and fulfilling its responsibilities to serve students, as well as acting as a bridge between the Institute. The Student Union will continue striving to organise different kinds of activities for students to enrich their campus life, and to actively promote and strengthen the community's recognition and support for the Student Union.
