MPU athletes won 14 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze medals, bringing home a highest number total of 39 medals among all teams in Macao

MPU athletes sparkle at the event

The MPU track and field team sparkled in the “2021-2022 Macao University Students Athletics Championship” and won 14 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze medals, bringing home the highest total of 39 medals among all teams. The event was organised by Macau Universitarian Sports Association and sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao.

During the three-day event, MPU athletes demonstrated their superb competence and outplayed other competitors in seven men’s individual and team field events, as well as the women’s high jump, men’s and women’s long jump, men's triple jump, women’s discus and men’s and women’s javelin.

MPU is committed to cultivating the world’s top sports professionals. It offers a full range of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes in physical education. MPU strives to enrich students experiences by actively encouraging them to participate in local and international competitions. Over the years, MPU students and alumni have achieved repeated success in international sports events, bringing great honour back to Macao SAR.
