In order to cultivate more high-calibre professionals for the hotel and tourism industry in Macao, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation agreement between the Macau Hotel Association and Macao’s higher education institutions at the 10^th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo. The Chair of the Macau Hotel Association Ms. Wong Suk Yan and the President of the Association Mr. Luis Heredia signed the memorandum of cooperation agreement with the representatives of the higher education institutions. The Vice-Rector of Macao Polytechnic University Dr. Vivian Lei attended the signing ceremony on behalf of MPU.

MPU has been actively strengthening the cooperation with the industry and various professional organisations, and offers diversified programmes that focus on both theory and practical training in line with the needs of the society. MPU hopes that through the collaboration with the Macau Hotel Association, the University may further consolidate the ties with the hotel and tourism industry in Macao, provide practical learning opportunities and professional training to the students, so as to broaden their horizons. Furthermore, MPU aims to promote the development of industry-university-research synergy and nurture more high-level talents for the hotel and tourism industry in Macao, with a view to actively contributing to the development of Macao as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
