Macao Polytechnic University hosts the Student Activity Fair to promote students’ holistic development.

As the new academic year commences, the campus is abuzz with various orientation activities to provide new students with a taste of the vibrant campus life and the distinctive university events. The Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University recently organised the Student Activity Fair, featuring recruitment booths for sports, debate, various activity programmes, and the Macao Polytechnic University Students’ Union. Each team provided detailed information and on-the-spot consultation services. The sports teams arranged a series of demonstrations and experiences, allowing students to delve into different sports activities, interact with team members and engage in discussions.

The recruitment and exhibition event attracted a large number of Macao Polytechnic University students, with enthusiastic participation; students eagerly signed up for their preferred teams. Participants said that joining specialised student teams allows them to develop and enhance their skills, build good interpersonal relationships within the teams, establish deep friendships through training and competitions with teammates, expand their social circles, and cultivate teamwork and leadership abilities, thereby fostering growth and progress together with friends. Some students mentioned that the university offers numerous meaningful projects for student participation each year, such as the Service Learning Scheme and the Charitable Fellowship Programme, expressing their anticipation to apply their learning to serve society and contribute positively to the community.

The Student Affairs Office, the organising entity, emphasised the importance of students’ holistic development. The annual Student Activity Fair provides opportunities and platforms for students to discover their unique talents and abilities. The university hopes that through participating in various university teams and activities, students can showcase their talents, push their limits, set new goals for themselves in the upcoming academic year, promote diverse development, and become competitive global talents at Macao Polytechnic University, showcasing their youth and shaping the future.
