Wu Weishan, a renowned sculptor and Director of the National Art Museum of China, visited Macao Polytechnic University on September 13 and was warmly welcomed by the Rector of Macao Polytechnic University, Professor Im Sio Kei, and other MPU staff. After visiting the "Professor Wu Weishan's Sculpture Studio", "Confucius Statues" and the artworks established at Macao Polytechnic University, Director Wu Weishan affirmed that the development of Macao Polytechnic University has entered a new stage and moved towards new heights. Both parties had friendly exchanged on further motivating Chinese traditional culture and talent cultivation cooperation.

At the symposium, Wu Weishan praised Macao Polytechnic University on the educational development and the academic achievements in line with the motto of “Knowledge, Expertise, Global Vision”.  The University strives for international excellence in teaching and learning, research development and community outreach, adhering to its long-standing commitment to serving Macao and the country. Director Wu Weishan said that he would continue to support the development of culture and art education at Macao Polytechnic University on the basis of more than 20 years of connection. He gave the best wishes to Macao Polytechnic University for the future development of the higher education.
