MPU holds Student Activities Fair to promote holistic development
At the beginning of the new academic year, the campus is buzzing with various orientation activities. To encourage university students to actively participate in campus events, enhance their overall comprehensive skills, and promote holistic development, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University organised a Student Activities Fair. The event featured booths for sports, debates, various activity plans, and the student union. Each team provided detailed information, on-site demonstrations, and interactive activities, attracting a continuous stream of students eager to sign up.
The fair was filled with excitement as various specialised student teams, including Cantonese, Mandarin, and English debate teams, as well as athletics, dragon boat, soccer, badminton, basketball, volleyball, and handball teams, organised on-site demonstrations and interactive activities. These sessions allowed students to get a closer look at each project, interact with team members, and experience the team spirit and competitive atmosphere. By participating in these specialised student teams, students have the opportunity to receive guidance from professional university team coaches, represent the university in competitions, broaden their horizons, and enhance their teamwork skills. Additionally, the Macao SAR Health Bureau’s Health Club was present, offering health checks and sharing health tips with students.
Students who participated in the fair said that joining specialised student teams helps continuously improve their skills and overall development, thereby enriching their campus life. Training and competing with teammates from diverse backgrounds allow them to build friendships, foster team spirit, and develop leadership skills. Additionally, being part of student organisations enables them to realise their potential, gradually enhance themselves through challenges, and prepare well for future career planning and professional development.
