MPU CEC Collaborates with IFS to Launch FinTech Course for the First Time
The advent of FinTech has brought new opportunities and challenges to traditional industries such as banking, securities, and insurance. To help financial practitioners and interested individuals acquire the latest FinTech knowledge and application skills, the Centre for Continuing Education (CEC) of the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), in collaboration with the Macau Institute of Financial Services (IFS), is launching the “FinTech and Industry Practice” course for the first time. The course will commence on March 12, and all are welcome to enrol.
The "FinTech and Industry Practice" course is included in the Macao SAR Government's "Continuing Professional Development Programme for Insurance Intermediaries" (CPD). Participants who meet the course attendance requirements and pass the assessment will be awarded a certificate co-issued by CEC and IFS.
The course content is diversified and practical, aiming to train participants to understand the basic concepts, major technologies, and development of FinTech; become familiar with specific applications of Fintech in the fields of banking, securities, and insurance, as well as its development trends and inherent risks; acquire analytical skills and methods to tackle challenges and opportunities brought by FinTech; enhance their sensitivity to new technologies and trends, such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, etc., and be able to customize strategies incorporating their personal development and business needs; and apply the acquired knowledge flexibly in practical work to improve business efficiency and service quality using FinTech tools.
The above-mentioned course is part of the Continuing Education and Development Programme of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and is now open for enrolment with limited vacancies.
