The inauguration ceremony for the 30th Student Union and its affiliated organisations at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) was held at the University auditorium. With the presence of guests from various sectors of society and representatives from student unions of different universities, all members of the Student Union took their oath of office, pledging to contribute to the development of both the country and Macao.

The ceremony was attended by notable guests including Marcus Im, Rector of MPU; Cen Jiayi, Director of the Higher Education Division of the Education and Youth Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Chan Iok Wai, Head of the Department of Students of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Leong Ka Fai, Head of the Professional Development and Planning Division of the Social Welfare Bureau; Ieong Mok Wan, Duty Supervisor of the Division of Civic Education of the Municipal Affairs Bureau; representatives of student unions from various universities, and other association representatives. They all witnessed the inauguration and oath-taking of the new MPU Student Union and its affiliated organisations, creating a lively and spirited atmosphere.

During the ceremony, Marcus Im congratulated the new members of the Student Union on their successful inauguration. He encouraged the Student Union to continue promoting the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao, passing it down through generations. He highlighted the new opportunities arising from the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin, urging them to bravely take on the role of pioneers in the new era and actively integrate into the national development agenda. Marcus Im assured that MPU would, as always, support the development of the Student Union and expressed hope that the members of the Student Union would practice the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao through concrete actions, promote campus development, and collectively strive toward new heights of academic and cultural excellence.

During her speech, Cheok Pui U, President of the Student Union, expressed her gratitude to the university and the broader society for their support. She emphasised that the new Student Union would lead the entire student body, fostering a vibrant and diverse campus life while continuing to act as a bridge of communication between students and the wider community. The Student Union will strive to fulfil the responsibilities of young student leaders in Macao, contributing their youthful energy to the development of both the country and Macao.
