MPU FAD Students Win Championship and Runner-up in “Asian Student Arts Festival Music Competition”

The students of Bachelor of Arts in Music, Faculty of Arts and Design of Macao Polytechnic University, won 1st and 2nd prizes in the “Classical Vocal Open Category” Competition Finals of the “ASAF Asian Student Arts Festival” to bring glory to MPU and Macau!

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the ASAF Asian Student Arts Festival and it attracted performing arts students from China, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia to showcase their talents and exchange ideas. The festival provided a platform for Asian performing arts students to show their talents in classical, contemporary, Chinese and Western music and dance. The festival attracted 6,000 participants and audiences from all over the world, featured over 1,000 performances, and was judged by 22 professional jury members from 10 countries.

With strong vocal skills and outstanding musical performance, the students of MPU stood out from the competitors and finally won the 1st and the 2nd prizes in the "Classical Vocal Open Category", demonstrating the outstanding musical qualities and artistic potential of MPU students. The award-winning students expressed their gratitude to MPU for taking  care of cultivating their talents and for their teachers' encouragement. By participating in international art competitions, they have broadened their horizons through exchanges with outstanding artists from different countries. In the future, they will continue to study hard and improve their musical skills to represent the students of MPU on the international stage.

The Bachelor of Arts in Music of Macao Polytechnic University is committed to promoting the development of music education and creating more opportunities for students to express themselves, thereby fostering the growth of local music culture.
