With the aim to promote the development of a green campus and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) has launched the “Herb Garden” Ecological Project, encouraging students to actively participate in ecological conservation, to enhance environmental awareness, and to address climate change, thereby contributing to the creation of a green campus and building an ecological civilisation.

The “Herb Garden” is cultivated and managed by members of the MPU Sustainable Development Society, with the aim of promoting fundamental values such as harmony between humans and nature, and environmental protection practices. Under the guidance of professional instructors, MPU students learnt about the characteristics and cultivation methods of various herbs, as well as their role in environmental protection. Through practical learning, students acquired a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable development for the long-term well-being of humanity.

The Sustainable Development Society stated that the “Herb Garden” Ecological Project lets students experience the joy of planting and harvesting, encourages them to focus on green development, and sets an example by participating in ecological conservation, thereby contributing to Macao’s sustainable development and environmental protection.
