To commemorate the 106^th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement and promote patriotic spirit, the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region held the “2025 Macao May Fourth Youth Day Flag-Raising Ceremony” on the 4^th of May. The Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) National Flag Team was honoured to participate, demonstrating the patriotic dedication of Macao’s youth through their professional ceremonial performance.

The “2025 Macao May Fourth Youth Day Flag-Raising Ceremony” took place at MPU’s Multi-Sport Pavilion, where uniformed members of the Macao School Flag-Raising Team marched in precise formation to escort the national flag. As the majestic national anthem “March of the Volunteers” resounded, the bright Five-Star Red Flag rose steadily, while all attendees stood solemnly in tribute, collectively expressing their love and respect for the nation.

The MPU National Flag Team captain Jiao Shuaibo stated it was an honour to lead the team in this significant ceremony. He emphasised the team’s commitment to rigorous training and professional standards to uphold patriotic values, inherit the May Fourth spirit, and contribute to the future of China and Macao. Participating students pledged to let the May Fourth spirit guide their studies and innovation efforts toward Macao’s prosperity and national development.

Since its establishment, the MPU National Flag Team has participated in numerous patriotic activities, showcasing Macao youth’s positive image. This ceremony further strengthened students’ national identity while inspiring their sense of social responsibility and mission.
