The Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) student team won the university group championship at the “GEG Macao Cup – the 17th Youth National Education Competition”. The event, hosted by the National Conditions Education (Macao) Association, was guided by the Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the Department of Information and Public Diplomacy of the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Macao Special Administrative Region, and supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Chinese Educators’ Association of Macao, and the Macao Catholic Schools Association.

This year the competition centered on “New Industrialisation, High-Quality Development” with two key categories, namely specialised knowledge and comprehensive national knowledge. The event attracted over 15,000 participants from eight Macao higher education institutions and 26 secondary schools. Bao Guangyu, Zhu Chule and Tang Ning from MPU won the university group championship with their exceptional subject knowledge and outstanding collaborative performance.

The champion team said that their preparation involved in-depth study of the country’s strategic framework for advancing new industrialisation, including key areas such as technological innovation, green development, and digital economy. Simultaneously, they strengthened their understanding of national history, political structures, and social development.
