At the 2024-2025 Macao University Table Tennis Championship hosted by the Macao Universitarian Sports’ Association, the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) table tennis team secured four gold, four silver, and four bronze medals, earning the most awards of any team and bringing honour to MPU.

The awards won by MPU include: Men’s Singles champion, Women’s Singles champion, Men’s Doubles champion, Women’s Doubles champion, Men’s Singles runner-up, Men’s Doubles runner-up, Women’s Doubles runner-up, Mixed Doubles runner-up, Men’s Singles third place, Men’s Doubles third place, and Mixed Doubles joint third place.

Hong Wai Lam, coach of MPU table tennis team, commended the players for their relentless efforts in a demanding tournament schedule, where they competed in five events over two days. Through outstanding technique and strong teamwork, they secured numerous awards, enhancing the university’s reputation. The team members enjoyed their victory celebrations, marked by energetic jumps, loud cheers, and thunderous applause, all of which displayed their cohesive team spirit. They expressed optimism for continued success in upcoming events.

Participating institutions in this year’s Macao University Table Tennis Championship comprised the University of Macao, Macao Polytechnic University, Macao University of Science and Technology, City University of Macao, Macao University of Tourism, University of Saint Joseph Macao, and Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macao.
