The Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) Graduate Show 2025 displayed around 100 learning achievements of the Bachelor of Arts in Design and Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts programmes graduates. The works were full of sincerity and creativity, demonstrating hardworkand vitality. The show attracted the arts community, the education sector, MPU students and teachers, as well as friends and family, was a warm and lively event, and the response was enthusiastic.

The opening ceremony of the Graduate Show was officiated by Professor Lam Chan Tong, Acting Vice-Rector of MPU; Associate Professor Lai Mei Kei, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design; Mr. Chao Sio Leong, President of the Macao Designers Association; Ms. Vanda Santos, Representative of Instituto Português do Oriente; Mr. Yang Xiaoyan, Professor in the School of Arts of Sun Yat-Sen University; Mr. Jason Ho, Associate Professor of South China University of Technology; Ms. Chen Fangyu, the student representative of the Bachelor of Arts in Design of Faculty of Arts and Design of MPU; and Mr. Bian Xiaoxuan, the student representative of the Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts of Faculty of Arts and Design of MPU.

Lai Mei Kei said in her speech how pleased she was to see the growth and transformation of the graduates and their ability to apply their professional skills in the workplace, which demonstrated MPU’s teaching achievements as well. She encouraged the graduates to seize the opportunities that the Macao SAR has made efforts to advance the “Appropriate Economic Diversification of the Macao Special Administrative Region,” continues to foster the growth of Macao’s cultural and creative brands in the arts and culture sector, supports various creative platforms, and organises cultural and creative activities and competitions. Concurrently, to increase investment in technological innovation, encourage digital transformation within the design field, and inspire more young people to engage in the integration of technology and design.

The Faculty of Arts and Design of MPU is dedicated to nurture talented professionals in arts and design, and cooperates with professional arts organizations in Macao to nurture diversified talents in the fields of art creation, professional design, art education and art curation. Through organizing various academic activities and cooperating with local and overseas art universities and professional institutions, the Faculty of Arts and Design promotes exchanges and innovative development in the field of art and creative culture in Macao. The works of our students and graduates have won numerous awards in regional and international competitions, bringing glory to Macao.
