MPU hosts a sharing session on alumni’s career development
MPU graduates share their experiences in career pursuit

To link up the communication between university students and industry, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), in collaboration with the MPU Alumni Association, hosted a sharing session on alumni’s career development. The event attracted many students, staff and graduates from various fields. The sharing prompted the planning of students’ career paths and allowed ideas to spark.

The sharing session featured outstanding graduates from the fields of academia, entrepreneurship and arts, including Lei On Kei, first degree in Chinese-English Translation, also known as the “Breaststroke Queen of Macao”; Wong Man Hang, first degree in Physical Education, now an interdisciplinary entrepreneur; and Lei In Kei, first degree in Digital Media Design, now an artistic creator. Each graduate shared their career choices, struggles and experiences in discovering opportunities amidst challenges, tailored to their unique characteristics and interests. Their growth stories resonated with the audience, emphasising the importance of discipline, resilience and professional competence in personal development. The graduates encouraged current students to maintain curiosity, continuously equip themselves, face up to challenges and embrace opportunities.

Participating graduates said that the sharing session highlighted the continuity of campus culture and the numerous possibilities for career development. Students remarked that the event provided a platform for exchange, passing on valuable experiences from the MPU community and prompting them to think about their future career paths.
