To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) held a National Day flag-raising ceremony on 1st October at 8 AM at the main campus. The event was attended by Rector Marcus Im, Vice Rector Vivian Lei, Secretary-General Carmen Mok, deans and deputy deans of various faculties, department heads, and staff and students, who gathered to extend their best wishes to the motherland, wishing for its prosperity and stability.

The flag-raising ceremony was conducted by the University’s student flag-guard team. The team members, in high spirits, marched in a synchronised and powerful manner, escorting the national flag, the flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the University’s flag to the flagpole. As the stirring national anthem played, the national flag was raised, creating a solemn and grand atmosphere.

The faculty and students of MPU celebrated National Day under the vibrant national flag, instilling a sense of pride and unity. The University upholds the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao, fostering a strong sense of national identity among its staff and students. Through this flag-raising ceremony, it inspires everyone to unite and strive for progress, contributing to the development of the nation and Macao.
