As the moon shone bright, bringing peace and health, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) organised a “Mid-Autumn Gathering” to promote traditional Chinese culture, enhance campus harmony, and strengthen peer friendship. The event brought students together to celebrate the festival and exchange heartfelt blessings.

Students at MPU hung lanterns around the campus and enjoyed solving riddles while sharing the unique Mid-Autumn traditions from their hometowns, creating a joyful atmosphere. During the festivities, students tasted mooncakes and crafted seasonal decorations by hand, including origami moons, clay ornaments of mooncakes, rabbits, lanterns, and persimmons. Participants noticed that this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival coincided with the National Day, adding to the celebratory spirit, allowing everyone to feel the significance of reunion during this special time. They thanked the Student Affairs Office for organising the event, which helped bring everyone together.

The Student Affairs Office stated that by hosting diverse cultural celebrations, they aim to continue promoting the admirable virtues and cultural values of the Chinese nation, nurturing a new generation of students who embody both national pride and cultural enrichment.
