The summit gathered over 300 experts and scholars, and 1,500 leaders in higher education from around the world to focus on discussions about the future of education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Vivian Lei Ngai Lin, Vice Rector of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), was invited to attend and speak at the “Panel: Inclusive Institution; Exceptional Outcomes”, highlighting the university's successful practices in curriculum development, learning support, and collaboration with industry and community partners.

As a core strategy to advance the internationalisation of higher education in Macao, MPU continues to participate in high-level international conferences and has established partnerships with renowned universities in Brazil, Portugal, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Malaysia, and other countries, enhancing academic collaboration and student exchange opportunities, improving the quality of teaching and research while providing students with more opportunities for overseas exchange and learning. The outcomes of these strategic developments have led to MPU’s continuous rise in international rankings, ranking 402nd in the 2026 QS Asia University Rankings (an improvement of approximately 50 positions from the previous year). This year also marks the university’s debut in the QS World University Rankings, receiving a 5-star QS ratings for overall excellence and the QS Global Engagement Performance Improvement Award.
