2021/2022 MPI-Rainbow Family Event of Nursing Programme
At the beginning of 2022, the first batch of Year 1 Nursing students of "Peking University Health Science Center-Macao Polytechnic Institute Nursing Academy" and Senior Nursing fellows held a simple and solemn "Rainbow Family” event. The event founded in 2013 and has been set up as an annual welcome event. It has been well received and loved by Nursing teachers and students. Due to the epidemic, this event has been postponed to 10 Jan 2022. Through those exciting games, the senior nursing students and Year 1 freshmen are encouraged to interact and establish a peer network, share the experience of university campus life, study and clinical practice. We expected better interaction and mutual assistance between each other and enhance friendship during the university life. Via the games, senior students and freshmen form one-to-one or many-to-one companions, so that when junior students encounter difficulties in life and study, especially in internships, they can seek help and support from their seniors. A positive and beneficial student activity that is student-centered. This event is awarded as one of the "Six Best Teaching Practices" by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in UK in 2016.
