Professor IpKin Anthony Wong, is a professor at the School of Tourism Management at Sun Yat-Sen University, China. He received his PhD at the University of Hawaii. He is also appointed as a distinguished professor at the Beijing Union University. He has work experience in the U.S. government as well as in the lodging and casino industries. He has involved in many consultancy projects in the U.S., Macau, and mainland China. He has a wide range of teaching and research interests especially in casino management, service marketing, consumer behaviors, brand management, human resource management and organizational behaviors, information technology, tourism and hospitality marketing and management, and research methods. He has taught courses in hotel management, MICE and event management, marketing, service quality management, strategy, statistics, and research methods, and information systems.

Professor Wong has numerous academic publications (journal articles, books / book chapters, and conference proceedings) with more than 80 scholarly journal articles listed in SSCI and an average impact factor of 5.0 (close to 70 listed in JCR Q1). These journal articles appear in Journal of Business Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Service Marketing and more. He is an active reviewer for more than 20 leading journals and is serving on several editorial advisory boards including International Journal of Hospitality Management (coordinating editor), Journal of Travel Research, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Services Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. He is also a recipient of several best papers in conference proceedings including the best paper award from the Fifth Macau Social Science Excellent Research and the best paper award from the Joint APacChrie, EuroChrie, and Global Tourism and Hospitality Joint Conference in 2019. Until September of 2020, Dr. Wong’s Google Scholar h-index is 30 and i10-index is 60.
