Prof. Simon S. K. Lam

Professor Simon Lam is the Professor of Management and Strategy at the Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Hong Kong (HKU Business School). He is also Head of the Faculty’s Management and Strategy Area, Director of the Centre of Asian Entrepreneurship and Business Values and Ian Davies Endowed Professor in Ethics. Professor Lam was the Associate Dean (Research) at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Hong Kong. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Management from the Australian National University.
Professor Lam is known for his research in entrepreneurship, leadership and cross-cultural management. He has published more than sixty academy articles including many papers in top-tier management journals like Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Management Information Systems. Professor Lam has over twenty years of experience teaching in undergraduate, MBA, DBA and senior executive development programs.
Before and after joining The University of Hong Kong, Professor Lam is much sought-after by companies around the globe as a management consultant. He also serves as non-executive director of several publicly listed companies in Hong Kong.
