This paper examines the implementation of quality assurance systems in the European Higher Education Area, the dimensions in which it is built, its characteristics and its importance in the context of higher education globalisation.

In Portugal he is a member of the National Council of Education, the Commission for the Recognition of International Academic Degrees, the National Committee for Access to Higher Education, the Advisory Committee of the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education, the Advisory Council of Higher Education and the UNESCO National Council.
