Besral Besral, since 1997 he has been working as a lecturer in the Department of Biostatistics and Population Studies, Faculty of Public Health Universitas Indonesia. He was appointed as Secretary of that Department from year 2004 to 2007 and as Head of that Department from 2014 to 2017. He also appointed as Chair of Center for Biostatistics and Health Informatic Studies, Universitas Indonesia since 2015-now.
He teaches undergraduate, master, and doctoral students for some courses included Descriptive and Inferential Statistics, Non-Parametric Statistic, Multivariate Data Analysis using SPSS, STATA, R, and Minitab. He also teaches on Research Methodology (Research design, sampling method, sample size, instrument development) and consultation on Biostatistics. He has research interests in the quality of higher education, the quality of health services, reproductive health, and mental health.
