Established in 1998, the "Journal of Macao Polytechnic University (Humanities and Social Sciences Edition)" is a comprehensive academic publication of MPU. The regular columns include expert's column, Hong Kong and Macao studies, editor's perspective, Chinese and Western cultures, literary studies, language translation, historical studies, etc.

The journal has been selected as one of the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) source journals, honoured with the title of "Authoritative National University Journal of Social Sciences", and included in the "Core National University Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences".
