Dr Li's book, funded by MPI and published by Chung Hwa Book Co., is a study of native-born Macao residents during the Ming & Qing Dynasties and describes how the Chinese and Portuguese co-inhabited the Macao Peninsula and how the native-born Macao population was thus formed. It also reveals previously unknown western historical data.
