MPU Holds a Sharing Session to Unlock Scholarship Opportunities
In order to encourage students to study diligently, strive for improvement, and to care for their holistic development, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University organised “Unlocking Scholarship Opportunities”, a sharing session to help students across all levels understand the evaluation criteria for various scholarships, to encourage the continuous pursuit of excellence, and foster all-round development.
The sharing session consisted of two parts: experience exchange and scholarship introduction. Previous scholarship recipients, including Wu Yijia from the Biomedical Technology Programme (Pharmacy Technology), Zhang Xiuhui from the Design Programme, Ip Kai Hong from the Social Work Programme, and Lok Ka Hou from the Programme of Business Administration in Gaming and Recreation Management, were invited to share tips on balancing academic studies and extracurricular activities. They elaborated on strategies for effective time management and academic planning, as well as methods for managing stress and emotions to maintain physical and mental well-being. Following the sharing, students actively inquired about the selection criteria for various scholarships to better plan for self-improvement. Participants expressed that the session was highly inspiring, noting that the advice provided by senior students was both intelligent and practical, offering actionable insights for immediate adjustment and implementation.
The Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University continues to organise a series of annual orientation activities to help new students adapt quickly to university life. Additionally, it offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities to engage students from various disciplines and levels, encouraging mutual exchange and learning while promoting holistic development.
