MPU Anti-Fraud Ambassadors Visit the Commission Against Corruption to Enhance Students’ Awareness of Integrity and Probity
In conjunction with the “On-campus Anti-scam ‘Vaccination’ Programme”, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) has initiated an “Eagle Eyes” Anti-Fraud Ambassador Programme and organised a tour to the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) to strengthen students’ awareness of integrity and their legal knowledge.
During the visit to the Taipa office of the CCAC, the students explored various facilities, such as the multimedia exhibition area, the simulated statement-taking room, the simulated identification parade room, the evidence showcase zone, and the multi-functional room. They learnt about the Commission’s organisational structure, functions, historical development, advanced technology, and daily investigative work through classroom learning and practical case studies. The participating students stated that the engaging explanations from the staff strengthened their understanding of the anti-corruption mechanisms, prevention awareness and legal knowledge. This improved their personal safety and preventative capabilities while helping to foster a positive life attitude of integrity and self-discipline.
The MPU Student Affairs Office is committed to establish a “Safe Campus”. Through close cooperation with government departments, it continuously organises diverse crime prevention educational activities to enhance students’ crime prevention awareness and safety prevention capabilities. This cultivates the qualities of knowledge of and abiding to the law and a positive lifestyle, and also establishes a comprehensive campus safety network.
