PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
Master of Interdisciplinary Arts programme aims to develop professionals who are able to 'think across the arts' and 'practice across the arts'. The programme integrates the interdisciplinary concepts of design, visual arts and music to develop postgraduate students' artistic and humanistic literacy, art and design-related research skills, as well as creative practice, exhibition planning and marketing management skills.

ASSESSMENT
In this programme, students will receive assessment activities of the following types in order to assess whether they are able to attain the stated PILOs.
PILOs | Types of Assessment Activities |
Knowledge and understanding | Modules are assessed by a combination of coursework, class discussions, presentations, term paper and project reports. The evaluation criteria will be displayed as the main evaluation items according to the students' learning, research ability, comprehensive capability and results. Final assessment results will be reviewed by internal moderators and then by external examiners. All assessment results go through a moderation marking procedure. Samples of three final assignment sheets (high, medium and low grades) will be sent to the external examiners for quality assurance concerns. There is no re-sit exam for the programme. Normally, students who fail to meet attendance requirement will be required to retake the failed modules. The assessment of the thesis includes a proposal, a written report and oral defense. After completing all necessary requirements of the programme, students will obtain a master's degree. |
