As the graduation season approaches, MPU held its 2026 Careers Day as scheduled. More than 100 enterprises from Macao and across the Greater Bay Area participated, offering over 2,000 job vacancies and internship opportunities. The event enabled students to engage directly with potential employers and explore future career pathways.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Cen Jiayi, Director of the Higher Education Division of the Education and Youth Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Chan Tze Wai, Deputy Director of the Labour Affairs Bureau; Ieong Iun Lai, Head of Department of Central Provident Fund System of the Social Security Fund; Chio Pou Wai, Head of the Division of Youth Development of the Education and Youth Development Bureau; Vivian Lei, Vice-Rector of MPU; and representatives from participating organisations and enterprises.

Diverse Industries Expanding Career Choices
Participating organisations represented a wide range of sectors, including information technology, telecommunications and aviation, education and training, financial services, hospitality and tourism, human resources, and social services. Booths were arranged systematically, and the atmosphere was vibrant. Employers from local, Greater Bay Area, and international contexts provided students with diverse career options.

They encouraged students to strengthen their overall competencies, pursue holistic development, and remain open to multiple career possibilities.
More than ten thematic seminars were also held, covering topics such as career planning, technological innovation, and applications of artificial intelligence. Representatives from the Social Security Fund provided on-site briefings on the provident fund system to assist students in early career planning.
