Shuaizhong Wang is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where he brings a dual expertise in architectural and structural design. He holds a Ph.D. from the Chair of Structural Design at ETH Zurich’s Institute of Technology and has gained international experience through studies and work in Mainland China, Finland, Japan, and Switzerland. His research employs a multidisciplinary approach, intersecting architectural and structural design methodology, sustainability, computational design, and pedagogy. His work has been published in respected international journals and conference proceedings, and he has contributed as a guest editor for notable publications. Dr. Wang has organized national and international design workshops and symposiums, and his work has been exhibited in major exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale. Prior to his academic role, he worked with several international architectural firms and has received awards in architectural competitions.
