Dr. Mao Zhixiong, Professor and Dean of the School of Psychology, Beijing Sport University. Vice President of the 9th Sports Psychology Branch of Chinese Sport Science Society; Chairman of the 13th Sports Psychology Professional Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society.
Prof. Mao’s research interests include physical activity and mental health; exercise behavior promotion; psychological issues of doping abuse.
Prof. Mao has published more than 70 papers in academic journals, edited two textbooks, translated one, and participated in the compilation of more than 20 textbooks and monographs. He has completed 4 sub-projects of national "Eleventh Five-Year" and "Twelfth Five-Year" key research and development projects or general projects, one WADA Social Science Fund project and one national key research and development project of "Science and Technology Winter Olympics 2018".
As a main member, Prof. Mao has won the Contribution Award for Scientific Research and Scientific Service Projects of the 29th Olympic Games (one third prize and one second prize each); 2009 Teaching Achievement Award (first prize) issued by State General Administration of Sport; the Contribution Award for Scientific Research and Scientific Service Projects of the 30th Olympic Games (second prize).
