劉仲嚴為台灣師範大學文學士、The Victorian College of the Arts of The University of Melbourne 視覺藝術碩士、RMIT University 哲學博士。現為香港教育大學文化與創意藝術學系副教授，碩士暨博士研究生導師，曾任台灣幼稚園和初高中美術教師。研究領域為當代藝術教育與課程、流行視覺文化和青少年創造力。論文發表於中外國際期刊，如：International Journal of Art & Design Education (iJADE); Visual Arts Research; Critical Perspectives on Communication, Cultural & Policy Studies; Australian Art Education; Asia-Pacific Journal for Arts Education; 《國際藝術教育學刊》和《藝術教育研究》等。
