Programme Objectives
The mission of the programme is to provide specialized training in the development of e-
commerce systems and business solutions. It aims to offer students the depth and breadth they
need to meet the challenges of a new knowledge-based economy and give them insight into
today's changing business environment. Graduates can effectively intergrate the skills in
business and technological aspects to develop electronic commerce solutions for a wide variety
of industries, from small and medium enterprises to multinationals and public organizations.

Quality Assurance
This programme is an ICECC (Institution of Certified E-Commerce Consultants) accredited
programme.
Graduate Prospects
With a solid training in electronic commerce, the areas of potential careers for graduates
include: 1) data analytics (market analyst, data analyst), 2) web development and
administration (web designer, application developer, web master), 3) consultancy and
management (business analyst, e-commerce consultant, e-commerce manager) and 4)
entrepreneurship (online shop owner, online service provider). Graduates may choose to
further their studies in the overseas universities that Macao Polytechnic University has
articulation with or any other universities they would like to study in.
