Step 4: Moving In

Furnish your apartment

The rental unit can be “fully-furnished” , “half-furnished”, or “not furnished”. “Fully-furnished” is equipped by the lessor with basic furniture and electrical appliances in the whole house, “half-furnished” is equipped with some furniture and/or appliances, and “not furnished” indicates that the lessee is responsible for purchasing all nessary furniture and appliances by himself/herself.  If the tenant is renting a “half-furnished” or a “not furnished” apartment, he or she can purchase the home equipment at any of the major home appliance stores.  Do a deep cleaning of the house before moving in, and keep the rooms and cabinets well-ventilated.  Pay attention to the cleanliness of mattresses, washing machine, curtains, bathrooms, etc., and it is recommended to purchase personal items such as bed sheets and quilts.

In addition, if the Internet is required in the house, the lessee can consult a telecommunications company for relevant installation services, which should be arranged in advance to avoid inconvenience caused by not having internet access after moving in.

Pay your rent on time

Under normal circumstances, the property management fee is borne by the lessor, while the lessee is responsible for the water, electricity and gas costs of the apartment in addition to the monthly rent, and all these should be paid on time.  Regarding renovation of the apartment during the stay, if the maintenance liability is not specified in the tenancy agreement, negotiations should be made by both parties as soon as possible to avoid disputes.
