Ans: To rent an apartment in Macao, the law requires the lessee and the lessor to sign a written contract (tenancy agreement), and the signatures of both parties need to be notarized.
4. Is the original copy of the tenancy agreement kept only by the lessor?

9. If three people share a three-bedroom unit, and one of the roommates moves out early before the tenancy expires, do the other roommates have to cover his rent?
