                 PCHA8122 Anthropology 3 45 hrs ---
Anthropology is an independent discipline studying human biological and cultural
characteristics. Unique social, political, and economic systems, folklore, and religious
systems have been formed as a result of human beings’ adaptation to diverse
environments in group life which are significant entry points for exploring the diversity
of human civilizations and cultural relativities during different periods. Through lectures,
discussions, studies and academic exchanges, this module enables students to know the
fields involved in anthropological research, and the processes of evolution, integration,
struggle, conflict, mediation or absorption among humans and social systems. It
promotes students to conduct in-depth analyses of cross-cultural and gender-related
phenomena and problems through a comprehensive investigation of literature in various
fields, so they can gain a more extensive understanding of the impact of human behavior
on the development of human society.
