Through practical experiences, students will cultivate good professional ethics, rigorous
scientific attitudes and effective work styles. They will also develop the ability to acquire
knowledge independently, enhance their creativity, build foundational research skills, and
foster team spirit in professional work environments. Contents: Hospital and health centre
pharmacies (dispensing practices, patient counselling, intervention and communication
with other healthcare professionals, addressing medication-related problems, medication
management, and utilization of pharmacy references and IT resources); community
pharmacies (dispensing practices, recommending OTC medicines, patient counselling, as
well as characteristics, management and operating methods of community pharmacies);
pharmaceutical industry (manufacturing processes, sanitary measures and quality control
in pharmaceutical production); regulatory authorities (organization system, scope of
functions of regulatory agencies, laws and regulations, licensing of pharmaceutical
premises, products and professionals, inspection of pharmaceutical premises,
pharmacovigilance and pharmacoeconomics); and other types of pharmacy practice
settings.
