The “AI+” strategy is a cornerstone of recent research and development at MPU. This innovative approach merges science with art to enhance the digital distribution of arts and culture, fostering the integration of creative elements across a spectrum of industries. During the inauguration ceremony of the “Lotus Flower in the Era of Prosperity, Creating the Future” video clip collection initiative centred on patriotism, MPU entered into a momentous collaboration by formalising a memorandum of understanding with the Asia-Pacific Station of China Media Group (CMG). This agreement signifies a pivotal juncture in media partnerships and academic interchange, heralding a new era of synergy and collaboration between these entities.
Enhancing Macao’s International Image and Talent Development

Wang Xiaozhen, Vice President of CMG, and Ao Ieong U, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, delivered speeches, underscoring the role of the collaboration in advancing Macao’s educational and cultural development. Vice President Wang noted that Macao, exemplifying the “One Country, Two Systems” policy, has always captivated CMG due to its unique developmental journey and cultural allure. The partnership highlights cross-strait and regional cooperation in media and education, aiming to boost Macao’s international standing and enrich the narrative of China’s progress.
Secretary Ao has placed a strong emphasis on youth development, echoing the dedication of the Macao SAR Government to nurturing young talent. She cited President Xi Jinping’s words from the 20th National Congress report – “A nation will prosper only when its young people thrive,” highlighting the critical role of youth as future leaders and as a new driving force for the prosperity of Macao under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework. The government’s dedication lies in establishing platforms that empower young individuals to articulate their views and evolve into proficient professionals. Secretary Ao emphasised that the collaboration with CMG is poised to create additional internship and job prospects for students in Macao, enabling them to gain deeper insights into the national developmental landscape. This strategic partnership aims to equip the youth with invaluable experiences, nurturing their understanding of the broader socio-economic fabric and propelling them towards becoming proactive contributors to the advancement of Macao.
During the event, Cao Yi, Coordinator of the Asia-Pacific Station of CMG, and Professor Im Sio Kei, Rector of MPU, officially signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Asia-Pacific Station of China Media Group and Macao Polytechnic University.
