The Open Day and Scholarship Award Ceremony at MPU in January 2024 drew over 3,000 prospective students, parents, and social elites from home and abroad, demonstrating the achievements of diversified teaching, research, and talent cultivation at MPU in all walks of life.
MPU hosted Careers Day on 26 March 2024, and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin Enterprises Recruitment Fair for Macao Universities on 10 April 2024, respectively. Over 140 local and international companies from Macao, the Greater Bay Area, and beyond were invited, offering more than 4,000 job and internship vacancies. Both events provided students and graduates with employment information and the opportunity to connect with potential employers.
MPU held a prestigious University Teams Recognition Ceremony on 15 November 2023, to recognise outstanding student team achievements in competitions. Dr. Lei Ngan Lin, Vice Rector of MPU, and faculty deans presented certificates to students in the ceremony as an affirmation of students’ efforts and contributions, motivating them to continue pursuing excellence in academia and personal development.
The vibrant multicultural exchanges in Macao facilitate the integrated development of leisure tourism, education, as well as health and well-being. This integration brings travellers enriching and immersive experiential journeys, reinforcing Macao’s role as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure” and the development of eco-tourism. MPU consistently hosted a series of educational and research events in the field of cultural tourism. The events include international academic conferences, seminars, and MICE projects, bringing together experts and scholars from around the world to provide insights in leisure technology, sports science, smart wellness, and cultural tourism education.
Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to its motherland, Macao Polytechnic University, in collaboration with Beijing Normal University, organised a national security education camp for students. The camp aims to strengthen patriotism education, and the core values of loving the country and Macao while promoting exchange with the Chinese mainland higher education institutions. A total of 25 MPU students, including members of the Student Union and the national flag team, participated in the camp and received a warm welcome from Professor Wang Ming, Vice Rector, and Professor Liu Kai, Faculty Dean of Beijing Normal University.
