Innovation in Motion @MPU Open Day

Despite the chilly January breeze in Macao, MPU’s Open Day, themed “Innovation and Excellence at MPU,” energised 3,000 secondary students, parents and educators getting engaged in its interactive learning environment. From insightful academic lectures to art exhibitions and fitness assessments, the event provided a comprehensive glimpse into the University’s endeavours that foster the fusion of technology and humanities. It showcased MPU’s cutting-edge research and lively campus life, leaving visitors inspired and connected.

A “SHINE” Approach to Shape Future Leaders

Student agency, the practice of students actively shaping their own lives and communities, forms the cornerstone of MPU’s educational philosophy. This principle was defined in the OECD’s Future of Education and Skills 2030 published in 2019. “SHINE” is a whole person development scheme developed at MPU for cultivating self-directed learning abilities and supporting students’ holistic development. The scheme was shortlisted for the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2024, showcasing the University’s commitment to educational innovation.
