                            This module strengthens students’ concept and practice of mental health nursing. The

                            contents  include:the  basic  principles  of  specialist  mental  health  care;  tertiary
                            prevention work and various mental health care practices.
                NURS6109    Community Health Nursing          6       90 hrs    ---
                            This module strengthens students’ concept and practice of community health nursing.
                            The contents include:the definition of community care, the role, function and practice
                            of community nurses; community care  considerations in  economic, social and ethical
                            areas;  teamwork  and  decision  making;  community  environment  and  characteristics,
                            community  connections  and  motivation,  and  demographic  characteristics;  and
                            community  needs,  epidemiological  characteristics  and  community  assessment  tools,
                            and the strategies for promoting community/population health, community resources
                            and services, and community intervention evaluations.
                NURS6110    Child   and   Adolescent   Health  6      90 hrs    ---
                            Nursing
                            This module strengthens students’ concept and practice of child and adolescent health
                            nursing. The contents include:advanced care and practice of pediatric nursing; care for
                            congenital  abnormal  newborns;  care  for  chronic  or  disabled  infants,  children  and
                            adolescents;  the  models  for  improving  the  health  care  of  children  and  adolescents;
                            mental health problems for children and adolescents, and sex education for adolescents
                            and their families; and health promotion for families with chronically ill patients, and
                            the application of child and adolescent health care models.
                NURS6111    Infection Control                 6       90 hrs    ---

                            This  module  strengthens  students’  concept  and  practice  of  infection  control.  The
                            contents  include:types  of  infectious  diseases,  routes  of  transmission;  purpose  of
                            infection  control,  methods  of  infection  control,  standard  preventive  measures;  risk
                            assessment of infection; separation of medical waste, packaging and labeling, storage of
                            medical waste, and collection of medical waste; and infection control , the strategies to
                            prevent cross-infection, research status and development trends.

                NURS6112    Rehabilitation Nursing            6       90 hrs    ---
                            This module strengthens students’ concept and practice of rehabilitation nursing. The

                            contents  include:1)  the  principles  of  rehabilitation;  2)  psychological  problems,  and
                            functional clinical care for patients with chronic illness and disability; 3) the theory and
                            model  of  rehabilitation  care,  case  management,  economic,  social  and  ethical
                            considerations in rehabilitation care.
                NURS6113    Obstetrics   and    Gynaecology  6        90 hrs    ---
                            Nursing
                            This module strengthens students’ concept and practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

                            Nursing.  The  contents  include : the  principles  and  paradoxes  of  contemporary
                            obstetrics and gynaecology; the role and function of  obstetrics and gynaecology, and
                            common  gynecological  diseases  and  gynecological  tumors;  nursing  care  for  perinatal
                            women  and  their  families;  high-risk  pregnant  women,  women  during  childbirth  and
                            postpartum  abnormalities  and  their  families;  and  normal  newborns,  high-risk  fetuses
                            and high-risk newborns.
