                            This  course  aims  to  introduce  the  students  to  the  basic  concepts  of  computing,

                            informatics and information technology and teach them how to work with computer
                            software  (Word,  Power  Point,  Excel),  including  software  in  management  and
                            international trade, therefore providing them with skills in this area.

                            This  module  constitutes  an  annual  course  that  will  be  taught  in  the  first  year  of  the

                            degree. They aim at raising the students’ proficiency in the English language to a level
                            equivalent to the Elementary level of the international 9-level scale.
                ENGL1102    English II                        3       45 hrs    ---
                            This  module  constitutes  an  annual  course  that  will  be  taught  in  the  first  year  of  the

                            degree. They aim at raising the students’ proficiency in the English language to a level
                            equivalent to the Elementary level of the international 9-level scale.
                PORT1121      Portuguese as Foreign Language I   15   225 hrs   ---

                            This  course  will  transmit  a  basic  knowledge  that  enables  the  acquisition  of  oral  and
                            written  skills  for  daily  social  and  professional  situations.  The  student  should  acquire
                            skills that allow him to express himself orally, to understand, read and write Portuguese
                            and, using simple vocabulary, to understand and write short articles.
                PORT1122    Portuguese as Foreign Language II   12    180 hrs   ---
                            This  course  will  transmit  a  basic  knowledge  that  enables  the  acquisition  of  oral  and

                            written  skills  for  daily  social  and  professional  situations.  The  student  should  acquire
                            skills that allow him to express himself orally, to understand, read and write Portuguese
                            and, using simple vocabulary, to understand and write short articles.
                LLAW1110    Constitution and Basic Law        2       30 hrs    ---
                            The  Constitution  and  the  Basic  Law,  being  the  legal  bases  of  the  Macao  SAR,  are

                            embodied  in  two  aspects.  First,  “One  country,  two  systems”  is  implemented  through
                            institutionalisation and legalisation. The processes achieved the establishment of Macao
                            SAR and the formulation of the Basic Law according to the Constitution of the People's
                            Republic  of  China.  Second,  “One  country,  two  systems,  a  high  degree  of  autonomy,
                            Macao  people  governing  Macao”  are  put  into  effect  since  the  establishment  of  the
                            Macao SAR following the legal system.

                ENGL2101    English III                       3       45 hrs    ---
                            This module will strengthen and build up the skills acquired in the previous phase and

                            further  develop  the  ability  for  oral  and  written  expression  and  the  expansion  of
                            vocabulary. The main objective of these courses is to provide the students with skills
                            related  to  translation  as  applied  to  law,  management,  economics,  marketing  and
                            international business.
