                            Law
                            This module will enable students to understand Commercial Law as a special branch of

                            Private Law regulating acts of trade that are qualified as such by the Lawsince they are
                            inserted in an organized activity of production or distribution of goods or services for
                            the market, or since they have, in themselves, a productive nature or of intermediation
                            in trade, for profit or other similar characteristics, that justify a regimen that is different
                            from  the  norm.  This  module  presents  the  fundamentals  of  the  legal  systems  of
                            commercial companies, developing students skills in applying theoretical knowledge.
                MATH3111    Mathematics   Applied   to   Social  3    45 hrs    ---
                            Sciences
                            This  module  aims  to  develop  the  skills  required  to  use  mathematics  in  the

                            interpretation and intervention in real life situations. The main objective of this module
                            is the presentation of basic concepts of differential calculus and linear algebra, aiming
                            at  the  development  of  a  practical  mindset  that  can  be  related  to  other  modules.
                            Students  will  acquire  knowledge  and  competences  that  will  facilitate  a  quantitative
                            approach to the resolution of problems, and will acquire the necessary capacities for
                            the resolution of economic issues and the development of a critical sense as well as
                            accuracy in reasoning.
                MRKT3111      Marketing Business to Business       3   45 hrs   ---
                            B2B Marketing enables the functioning of the economy, acting as a kind of “economic

                            engine”.  The  inter-organizational  transactions  involve  the  establishment  of  relations
                            between the people who belong the company. These people have different experiences
                            and motivations. This module will enable students to understand the main differences
                            between Business-to-Business Marketing and Business-to-Consumer Marketing. It will
                            analyse the buying process and the behaviour of the organizational buyer. Furthermore,
                            the  objectives  and  decision  process  associated  with  organizational  buying  will  be
                            examined.
                MRKT3112    Commercial Negotiation            3       45 hrs    ---
                            This module aims at preparing students to identify situations of conflict and their origin;

                            learn the most effective methods and techniques for dealing with conflicts; understand
                            the  relevance  of  individual  characteristics  in  the  negotiation  process;  identify  the
                            different  types  of  negotiations  and  negotiators;  characterize  the  main  strategies  and
                            tactics of negotiation; develop skills in the preparation of a negotiation; know how to
                            conduct  a  negotiation;  carry  out  a  self-assessment  of  the  negotiation  process;  and
                            prepare a follow-up strategy.
                RPUR3111    Advertising and Public Relations   3      45 hrs    ---
                            Advertising  and  Public  Relations  emerge  as  two  important  tools  of  communication,

                            being two forms with distinguished characteristics that separate them from the other
                            forms  of  “speaking”  with  a  target  audience.  This  module  aims  at  developing  the
                            following skills: identify, describe and characterize the concepts of communication and
                            marketing  and  the  tools  of  that  communication  in  Public  Relations  and  Advertising;
                            apply  the  concepts  associated  with  international  marketing;  distinguish  marketing
                            objectives and targets according to communication objectives and targets; and identify
                            and design the various elements of a creative strategy. We will also study the different
                            roles, tasks and principles of public relations professionals.
