COMM3111 Spoken and Written Communication 3 45 hrs ---
Techniques
The module main objective is to develop and improve various techniques and skills of
efficient communication and cooperative interaction. It assumes an eminently practical
component, seeking to answer to a diverse set of practical questions, such as: teaching
how to write, adapting the text to the transmitted content and its recipients; training
the reading and interpretation of technical, journalistic, scientific texts, aiming to
identify their organization, and highlighting the objective or figurative significance of the
words; characterize and apply different writing techniques; develop the search,
organization, synthesis and management of information; stimulate
negotiation/argumentation when defending one’s own ideas and solutions; and
planning the best strategies for presenting information.
ECON3111 Chinese Economy 3 45 hrs ---
This module focus on the history of the Chinese economy and the tools of economic
theory from the perspective of diagnosis and contextualization for organizations and
economic agents in general. It identifies the potential export and import markets for
goods and services andevaluates the possibilities for the expansion and diversification
of economic markets.
