                             This course's main objective is the development of linguistic proficiency in Portuguese at

                             the B1/B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR),
                             articulated with the acquisition of basic concepts in the area of expertise of law. The
                             student will be in contact with diversified linguistic productions (written and oral) to know
                             and reflect on the importance of the law, the outcomes of lawful or unlawful acts. They
                             will learn about some professions and job functions associated with law.

                 ECON3111    Chinese Economy                   3       45 hrs    ---

                             This  curricular  unit  studies  the  history  of  the  Chinese  economy  and  the  concepts  of
                             economic theory related to the  diagnosis and context of organizations and economic
                             agents in general. It will be done an identification of the markets for import and export of
                             goods  and  services  with  the  corresponding  assessment  of  the  expansion  and
                             diversification of markets.

                             The function of marketing is fundamental to the success of any business operation. This
                             course unit introduces the students to some of the critical issues involved in the marketing
                             management, in order to create value for organizations and its markets. Students will
                             appreciate the strategic importance of marketing in the firm and of a market orientation;
                             will understand and apply key marketing principles and concepts; and will acquire skills in
                             how  to  assess  market  opportunities  and  develop  effective  marketing  strategies  and
                             programs to achieve organizational objectives.
                 HIST3110    Chinese History and Culture       2       30 hrs    ---
                             This course aims to give an overview of the History and Culture of China and to give

                             students knowledge about the political, economic and cultural development of ancient
                             and modern China. On the other hand, it is intended to show, generically, political and
                             economic relations between China and the rest of the world. The history of Macau, as an
                             important part of the exchange between China and the western world since the 16th
                             century, will also be presented.
                 HIST3114    History  and  Culture  of  Portuguese-  3   45 hrs   ---
                             Speaking Countries
                             This unit aims to provide an overview of the History and Culture of each of the CPLP

                             member countries. Relevance will be given to the dynamics of cultural interdependence
                             between countries and the evolution of each of the CPLP countries in the course of history
                             will be analyzed.
